GLE's:

 Develop organized, coherent paragraphs that include the following: topic sentences, logical sequence, transitional words and phrases, appropriate closing sentences, parallel construction where appropriate

Extend basic and technical vocabulary using a variety of strategies, including use of context clues
 
Develop complex compositions using writing processes, including, selecting topic and form, determining purpose and audience, prewriting,  drafting, conferencing,  revising for content and structure based on feedback,  proofreading/editing to improve conventions of language

1. Bell work: Vocabulary "Words in Context" Handout

2. GLE and WRAP format constructed response notes

3. Lesson Starter Handout 1--organization in writing

Homework:

1. Buy supplies (see course syllabus for list)

2. Complete "I am" poem and visual to be turned in tomorrow

3. Complete today's handout if not completed in class

4. Study for quizzes Friday

5. Bring SSR book to class!
